I mean it's cold, but compared to my brethren in North America I can't complain.

It's not office attire unfortunately.

I was at Universal Orlando in November, I was asked by a shop worker if I was cold wearing shorts in 75f.

I responded, "no, I'm British, this is summer weather to me"

It was like 5 degrees before wind chill was even factored in. I gotta admit, I was amazed at how easily my car started. Last during that week long cold snap it stuttered for a second or two before it fully started.

Didn't have any of that this morning.

I have a manual and I really need to let the engine nearly warn up to temp. The hot exhaust pipe next to the tranny makes shifting much easier for the first mile.

It's bitter cold with a heavy wind chill up in the north of England. I want to get the car cleaned but the wind would take most of the pressure washer spray.

I live on the coast, it's windy at home, but I work inland and it's calm.

It's a shame that the wind means you can't Svend all day cleaning car.

We've clawed our way up to 6 whole degrees with the sun this morning. A fast warm up to a mid-day high of 24! Woohoo!

One of our service trucks just rolledback in. Tech got to the first jobsite and turned on the hydrulic pump and fluid sprayed all from the TOP!- of the hydraulic reservoir. Sounds like we have a layer of frozen fluid at the top of the tank.

StL is a few hundred miles south, but our weather is a whole different batch than yours.

My wife went to school in Beloit and I got my 4 years of WI winters. Thanks. Got my fill.

My next house will be in St Kitts or St Maarten or something.

Lol. As long as it's calm on the weekend. My car and a few others need cleaned and I've a detailing sample (window sealant) coming from the states someone wants me to test and review before importing it to the U.K. to sell.

Not to mention my general love of cleaning cars and this weather is stopping me.

well perhaps it not a fair statement by me, I do live in the sunniest part of the UK (by hours of average sunshine) so it's not representative of the whole country.
